We are lucky in Alberta to have our cold winters. Even though most of the time it doesn’t feel like it, it helps to control a lot of diseases and parasites that we find in other areas.
One of the main diseases we consider when travelling with our pets is heartworm.
Heartworm is very common in the Unites States, Manitoba and Ontario and some parts of BC.
Other diseases may be prevalent in certain areas so please discuss your pets travel plans at your next appointment.
Vaccine requirements and health certificates may vary depending on where you and your pet are travelling.
Flying or even driving with our pets can be challenging.
